Biking Beyond Borders

What a smashing day Sunday was @beyondbordersscotland festival, not a cloud in the sky and non stop heat belting down from above! Perfect for a bike ride!! Thanks to all who took part in the led cycle from Traquair to Cardrona, it was a great experience. All 10 e-bikes were used by participants as well! Couldn't have done it any better 🌞🚲

We were at Beyond Borders Scotland festival at Traquair House in the Scottish Borders promoting Bike Punks and giving our young people a great work experience.

Held over three days the festival is dedicated to facilitating international dialogue and cultural exchange between nations and includes literature, performing arts, visual arts, heritage, film, politics and dialogue. We were delighted to be asked to set up in the grounds where we offered a free sample of the bikes.

After being on a Cycle Scotland course four of our young people were able to attend the festival and run guided cycles for a group of speakers at the event. They did a brilliant job and the feedback was excellent with very happy customers!

This opportunity enabled our young people to learn skills such as planning routes, risk management, customer service skills and team work. Events like these are a great way of promoting our project whilst giving our young people confidence and new experiences.
